Bangladesh elect to bat in second ODI

Faisalabad: Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful won the toss and elected to bat in the second day-night international against Pakistan at the Iqbal Stadium here on Friday.

Pakistan, who lead the five-match series 1-0, made no change from the side that won the first match in Lahore by 152 runs on Tuesday.

Bangladesh brought in left-arm paceman Syed Rasel in place of Roqibul Hassan.


Pakistan: Shoaib Malik (captain), Salman Butt, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul, Sohail Tanveer, Rao Iftikhar.

Bangladesh: Mohammad Ashraful (captain), Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Aftab Ahmed, Shahriar Nafees, Shakib Al Hasan, Dhiman Ghosh, Abdur Razzak, Mahmudullah Riad, Farhad Reza, Syed Rasel.
