Chennai: Chennai Super Kings bowlers bowled their heart out to restrict Kolkata Knight Riders to a platry 147/9 in their Indian Premier League Twenty20 match at MA Chidambaram stadium here today.

Jacob Oram, who bagged three wickets for 32, dismissed Brendon McCullum and Ricky Ponting off successive deliveries in the third over and Chennai never gave Knight Riders a chance to fight back as his fellow bowlers too bowled impressively to keep the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team in check through out the innings.

Muttiah Muralitharan bowled four overs for just 12 runs, though he failed to get a wicket. MS Gony and Amarnath took two wickets apiece
 as J Sharma bagged one.

For Knight Riders, LR Shukla top-scored with 42 off 33 balls. McCullum and WP Saha too chipped in with 24 and 27 runs respectively.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Sourav Ganguly won the toss and elected to bat.

Both the teams are unchanged for today's match. This will be the penultimate IPL 2008 game for Aussies from both sides as players, including Michael Hussey and Matthew Hayden from Chennai and Ricky Ponting from Kolkata, will leave India on May 1 for the West Indies series.
