Mumbai Indians stand-in skipper Shaun Pollock, addressing media persons here this last evening said ''there is very strong possibility that Sachin may not play tomorrow (Sunday), though we will be taking the decision on him only tomorrow (Sunday).''
''It is disappointing for us, but the physios are working very hard with him,'' the former South African skipper said, adding, ''though we are still not sure about him being available for tomorrow (Sunday), it looks like he might even miss the Wednesday match and we are looking at him to get fit for the May 14 match.''
Speaking about today's game against Delhi Daredevils, Pollock said they were a class apart side and we will have to play to the best of our abilities to overcome them. However, the win against Kolkata Knight Riders has given us confidence and we would be taking that into tomorrow's (Sunday) match.
Pollock said ''The Delhi Daredevils' top order has been in awesome form due to which their middle order has not been tested.
We would be trying for early wickets to put pressure on them and get into the untested middle order.'' The South African said though the team for tomorrow's (Sunday) match has not been finalised, it is likely that they would not change a winning combination.
He also praised the batting of Dwayne Bravo and Robin Uthappa, whose partnership in the last match secured the Mumbai Indians their first win in the tournament.
Pollock was effusive in his praise for Uthappa, saying that ''the lad batted with a lot of maturity, curbing his attacking instincts and allowing Bravo to take the attack to the cleaners.''
