Kings XI invite Royal Challengers to bat first

Bangalore: Mohali Kings XI Punjab skipper Yuvraj Singh won the toss and invited Bangalore Royal Challengers in to bat in the IPL league encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Monday.

Local outfit T20 specialist Cameron White and local gloveman Devraj Patil replaces Bharat Chipli and Mark Boucher while injured Sangakkara and Karan Goel makes way for Ramnaresh Sarwan and Uday Kaul for Kings XI.

It's going to be Mohali batsmen verses Bangalore bowlers under the lights before packed Chinnaswamy crowd.

The young Kings XI, who have won four games on trot after a poor start, start favourites with a mouthwatering batting line-up that stretches till Chawla at No. 9. Local outfit has the strong bowling attack with the likes of Kumble, Steyn, Kallis, Zaheer, Praveen and White.

A narrow win over Hyderabad Deccan Chargers has injected a much needed confidence in the Bangalore ranks besides they have the advantage of playing on home turf.

Bangalore: Devraj Patil (wk), Wasim Jaffer, Virat Kohli, Jacques Kallis, Misbah-ul-Haq, Rahul Dravid (capt), Cameron White, Praveen Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Anil Kumble and Dale Steyn.

Punjab: Shaun Marsh, James Hopes, Uday Kaul (wk), Yuvraj Singh, Mahela Jayawardene, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Sreesanth, VRV Singh and Gagandeep Singh.
