Lahore: Pakistan's former captain and fast bowling great Wasim Akram will train young pace bowlers.

Akram said he was keen to transfer some of his experience and knowledge to the young players.

A special training camp will be held under the aegis of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

“We want to invest in the new talent and slowly keep on grooming them. We have invited other former cricketers to supervise similar camps and work with the new players," the Daily Times quoted PCB Chairman Nasim Ashraf, as saying.

In the last camp, Akram had discovered the talented Sohail Tanvir, who is now an impressive performer at the international level.
