New Delhi: Delhi Daredevils'all-rounder Shoaib Malik has dismissed former captain Ramiz Raza's comments that said the Pakistani players have performed disappointingly in the ongoing IPL as compared to other foreign players.

Reacting to Ramiz Raja's comments, Malik told UNI, ''I believe Sohail Tanvir is the highest wicket taker in the tournament and he is from Pakistan.'' Malik was practising here with his teammates at Feroz Shah Kotla after Rajathan Royals ousted Mumbai Indians and made way for Daredevils in to the semi-finals.

Earlier, Ramiz was quoted as saying by 'The News', ''The biggest disappointment for me has been the fact that our players have not been able to perform consistently. We have had good performances here and there but not enough.

Tanvir, in his nine matches, has taken 21 wickets to emerge as the leading wicket-taker of the IPL so far while S Sreesanth of Kings XI Punjab follows him in the second position.

However, Malik hasn't had any notable performances in the tournament so far. But the Pakistani al-rounder might just hope that he gets a chance in the semi-final to finish the tournament on a bright note.
