Bangalore: A fierce battle is on the cards as Rajastan Royals' pace spearhead Sohail Tanvir locks horn with Delhi Daredevils skipper and opening batsman Virender Sehwag in Indian Premier League semi-final in Mumbai today.

Sehwag, who is known for his destructive batting, is capable winning a match against any team singlehandedly. But can he wield his willow with authority today against the most penetrative of bowlers in the rival camp, Sohail Tanvir?

Tanvir has been instrumental in Rajastan Royals' success in the league and his bowling figures gives you a clear picture. As Tanvir missed some of the matches due to personal reasons, he featured in nine matches and bagged 21 wickets at an astonishing economy rate of 5.97; that too with an unbelievable strike rate of 10.

Mind you, the next best bowler in the IPL, Sreesanth and rest of the bowlers in the top-10 bowlers list, are way behind Tanvir. Tanvir has tamed almost all the world-class batsmen featuring in IPL. Be it Tendulkar or Jayasuriya, the batting legends have so far struggled to accelerate the scoring against the Pak bowler.

But, as we all know, Sehwag doesn't care who the opposition is and who is their strike bowler. He just follow his insticts and bang! as he rightly said many times, nobody can stop him on his day. Interestingly, Sehwag is meeting Tanvir for the first time in IPL. With having a consistent partner in Gambhir, Royals would bite dust if Sehwag finds his real touch today.
