Bangalore: Winners of the first edition of Indian Premier League, which caught the attention around the globe because of the sky-rocketed player fees and franchise owner's deep pockets, Rajasthan Royals have pocketed 4.8 Cr as prize money.

Though the total money made by the franchises would be incomparable to this amount, the IPL winners' price money is the biggest ever in cricket. Franchise owners have a variety of revenue sources under categories of marketing benefits, central revenues and local revenues.

The second placed Chennai Super Kings will also be richer by 2.4 Cr. Man of the series Shane Watson bagged 10 lakhs as man of the match Yusuf Pathan received one lakh rupees.
