It was Pathan's match winning performace that tilted the balance in Royals' favour after Chenai made early inroads into Royals' top-order. At one stage Royals were 42/3 and a 39-ball 56 by Yusuf took Jaipur to the doorstep of victory. Earlier, Yusuf sclaped three for 22 to restrict the Dhoni-led side to 163.
After Jaipur sealed victory in last ball, Pathan was too overwhelmed to speak.
"I don't have words to describe the feeling," was all Pathan managed to say after a long silence.
The elder brother of Irfan Pathan, who slammed
four massive sixes, said he was too nervous while waiting for his turn to bat.
"I was very nervous when I was waiting in the dugout but Shane (Warne) came to me and he helped me get over my nerves. Also, whewn I went on to bat, Shane Watson had a few words and helped me feel at ease in the middle," said Pathan.
Regarding his three wickets, which helped Jaipur gain the upper hand, Pathan said he knew the trick to bowl in Twenty20.
"In this format you just have to restrict the batsmen. I knew if I could contain them, wickets will come and that is what happened," he added.
