Kapil and his Devils to be felicitated Sunday

New Delhi: The silver jubilee celebration ceremony to mark India's triumph in the 1983 World Cup, organised by the BCCI to feliciate the players will kick-off today.

The celebrations will begin here in the afternoon with the world cup winning Team members will unveil a bejewelled bat to mark the Indian cricket's most memorable achievement.

Kapil's devils will also play a round of golf in the afternoon at the Jaypee Golf course in Greater Noida.

Later in the evening, in a star studded ceremony at a city hotel, the BCCI will felicitate the legendary players who had defeated the two time world champions West Indies at the historic Lords on June 25, 1983.

The BCCI will also give a cheque of Rs 25 lakh to each and every members of the world cup winning squad in the feliciation ceremony in the presence of host of dignitaries, including Sports Minister MS Gill.
