Hong Kong bowlers were left on a leather hunt with Indian openers Gautam Gambhir (51) and Virender Sehwag (78 off 44) slamming impressive half centuries to collect 127 runs for the first wicket. Though No.3 batsman Rohit Sharma failed to make an impression, Dhoni and Raina kept the momentum going and help India post an unattainable target for Hong Kong.
For Hong Kong, Nadeem Ahmed bowled impressively, bagging 2 wickets for just 40 runs in ten overs.

India, three-times champions, rested unfit allrounder Irfan Pathan and brought in Manpreet Gony for his one-day debut. Also rested are frontline paceman Ishant Sharma and batsman Yuvraj Singh.

Hong Kong, who lost to Pakistan by 155 runs in the opening match on Tuesday, replaced unfit Zain Abbas with Roy Lamsam.
