Pakistan elect to bowl against Sri Lanka

Karachi: Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss and put Sri Lanka into bat in a Super League match at the Asian Cup, played at the National Stadium here on Sunday.

Pakistan were forced to make two changes, leaving out paceman Umar Gul and all-rounder Fawad Alam, bringing in leg-spinning all-rounder Mansoor Amjad and paceman Wahab Riaz.

Sri Lanka brought back opener Sanath Jayasuriya, paceman Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan, who were all rested in their last first-round match against United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
