Martin van Jaarsveld gave South Africa a reminder of what they will be missing against England next week by scoring his second hundred of the match as Kent beat Surrey by four wickets at The Oval in the County Championship.

Van Jaarsveld, dropped twice in his second innings, made 115 not out to go with his unbeaten 114 in the first innings and a career-best five for 33 as Surrey were bowled out for just 130 in the second innings.

But the 34-year-old will not be available for his native South Africa for next week's first Test at Lord's after calling time on his international career three years ago to pursue life as a county player in England.

Van Jaarsveld played nine Tests between 2002-2004, scoring 397 runs at 30.53 and also appeared in 11 one-day internationals.
