Rookie Pak seamer Abdur Rauf (3/24) started the rot with his initial burstKarachi: Abdur Rauf and Iftikhar Anjum produced a fiery spell of fast bowling on a batting-friendly Karachi wicket as Pakistan skittled out the hopelessy woeful Bangla for 115 in 38.2 overs in the inconsequential Asia Cup Super League tie on Friday.

Rookie left-arm seamer Rauf returned with the career-best figures of 3/24 in eight overs while the probing Iftikhar plucked two wickets conceding only 20 runs in his 10 overs which includes the record six maiden overs. Leggie Ajmal too joined the party with 2/19.

The Bangla batting lacked character. Barring opener Tamim Iqbal (26 off 41) and Alok Kapali (17), none had the stomach for a fight.

Poor shot selection and some tight Pakistani bowling and impressive catching undid Bangla.

Brief Scores:

Bangladesh 115 all out in 38.3 overs (Tamim Iqbal 26, Kapali 17, Rahim 15; Rauf 3/24, Iftikhar 2/20, Ajmal 2/19) Vs Pakistan.
