India put Sri Lanka in to bat in Asia Cup final

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and put Sri Lanka in to bat in the Asia Cup final played at National Stadium on Sunday.

Sri Lanka, who beat India in the final to win the Asia Cup in Colombo in 2004, brought back spearhead Chaminda Vaas and unorthodox spinner Ajantha Mendis who were both rested for the last Super League match on Thursday.

They replaced Dilhara Fernando and Kaushal Weeraratne.

India dropped paceman Praveen Kumar and included batsman Robin Uthappa in the line-up which beat Sri Lanka on Thursday.
