kiran MoreMumbai: India's former chief selector Kiran More slammed BCCI for barring Indian players from playing for English counties with ICL connection.

"I think the BCCI is carrying this a bit too far and spoiling their own players -- leg spinner Piyush Chawla of Uttar Pradesh, veteran Hyderabad batsman V V S Laxman and Mumbai all-rounder Ajit Agarkar -- chances of playing in English counties and gaining much wanted experience of playing in English conditions just to get at the ICL," Kiran More, who is an executive board member of ICL, was quoted as saying by Cricketnext.

"It is very unfair on the players, who will be the ultimate sufferers in the long run, and I personally feel that the players should revolt against this directive from the Indian board because a youngster like Chawla will stand to gain a lot just by playing in county cricket," he said

"However, the England board will not dance to BCCI"s tunes as they don"t indulge in petty politics. For them promoting the game and getting the best players to play in their county cricket is paramount and they will not listen to any other boards but the players will suffer and that is a cause for concern," he added.
