Colombo: The International Cricket Council (ICC) General Manager Dave Richardson will inspect the infrastructure of the umpire referral system which goes on trial during the India-Sri Lanka Test series starting here on July 23.

The system will allow players to challenge the umpire's decision if they find it wrong, which will bring more use of technology and would help to make error-free decisions.

''We have 22 cameras installed for the first Test match beginning July 23 and the ICC chief will be taking a look at the infrastructure and the installation of large number of cameras ahead of the Test,'' a top Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) official said.

The official said the experts would brief the inspection team along with Sri Lankan board officials on the usage of the system.
