ICC rejects proposal on Dharamshala match

The scenic Dharamshala Cricket StadiumShimla: International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association's (HPCA) proposal to organise an international match in Dharamshala Cricket stadium.

HPCA president Anurag Thakur, while briefing mediapersons here today, said that ICC observers' report has rejected the HPCA demands because the is lack of facilities like internet, hotel and proper roads in Dharamshala.

''Considering this report HPCA has sanctioned Rs 5 crore to install such facilities as soon as possible. The work is on and the state board will once again ask ICC to follow the plea,'' he said.

The stadia owned by HPCA has hosted the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy ties and has all the makings of international venue.
