Dambulla: India won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the inaugural One-Dayer here on Monday.

India got a major jolt with Virender Sehwag being ruled out of the first One-Dayer due to ankle injury.

To fill his place, the 19-years-old, Virat Kohli is making his India debut.

After the humiliating Test series defeat, India would be looking to make amends in the One-Dayers through its young guns and start on a positive note in this first of the five-match ODI series.

On the other hand, a confident Sri Lankan team would be keen to maintain the Test momentum.
