India, riding on the superb seam bowling from Zaheer and Praveen, drew level 1-1 in the five-match ODI series with a laborious three-wicket win here on Wednesday. Zaheer and Praveen combined claimed seven wickets as Lanka batting first collapsed to 142.
"Most of the times we have played in Lanka it is not a bowlers' paradise especially for the fast bowlers. Full credit to the fast bowlers for coming out with flying colours in tough conditions. They bowled in right areas," Dhoni said at the post-match press conference.
"In the last two games seamers got help, but they may not get these conditions in the coming three games," he added.
Dhoni admitted the team was a bit worried when India slumped to 75/5 in the 20th over during their run chase as the track was turning and ball reversing a bit.
"It was turning a bit also. So it was a bit tough when in one end we had a batsman but in other end it was open with the tailenders.
Of course it was a concerned area till the match got over," he said.
On his yet another rescue act to win the match with a valuable 39 runs, Dhoni said he loved pressure situations and taking up the responsibility to lead from the front.
"Well, I am losing my hair. It is a pleasure to go out there under pressure to perform. That is what you are suppose to do at this level. Whenever you have the responsibility, whenever you have the pressure, they expect you to score. It is a privilege to have that," said the Rambo of Ranchi.
