ICL Executive Board Member Kiran More said preceding the Glendale Trophy Tournament, stalwarts from Hyderabad Heros' side, Ambati Rayudu and Alfred Absolem, held a cricket clinic to hone the cricketing skills of budding cricketers from various schools here.
As a part of this initiative, the ICL subsidiary will not only confine itself as a co-title sponsor but actively involve in the participation, encouragement and provision of inputs for the young cricketers.
''This ICL initiative is a long term objective which will strengthen grassroot level cricket and provide exposure and inputs for school level cricket.
''It involves fine tuning of skills of young promising cricketers and work towards developing a strong assembly line of India's next generation cricketers,'' he said in a statement.
Glendale's Spokesperson Umri Bursar said, ''Glendale Trophy is the most sought after inter-school tournament in the twin cities of Hyderabad&Secunderabad.
''We are happy to associate with ICL Heroes Sports Pvt Ltd and in turn, their champion cricket side Hyderabad Heroes, for the fourth edition of the tournament. Such initiatives are a major boost for youngsters who aspire to take up the game professionally.''
