India-A skipper Badri says his side hold the edge over Trans-Tasman rivals in the upcoming tri-seriesBangalore: India-A Skipper S Badrinath today said his team had better chance over Australia and New Zealand in the triangular series being played from Sept 15.

Speaking to mediapersons on the eve of a three-day match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium here against Australia, the Team India player said ''we are good side and in the earlier series we have beaten both the teams and we would perform to our maximum potentiality.'' Badrinath said the series is a great opportunity for all the players to show their potential and attract selectors for inclusion into the national team.

Replying to a question, he said the team was not worried about Australian seamers. ''We are preparing ourselves to face the seamers and confident of players putting up brave fight in the field.''

Coach Dave Whatmore said ''the India-A Team has good talented players. There are many who had played in the international matches.'' The coach predicted that the three-day match beginning tomorrow against visiting Australia 'A' may end in a draw as the city was experiencing heavy downpour since last three days and pitch may be slow.

''However, we cannot expect anything since even Test matches have endded in three days,'' he said.

On a query about postponment of the Champions Trophy, he said more break is good for players.

About speedstar Sreeshanth undergoing rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy (NCA) here, Whatmore said ''Sreeshanth who is suffering from 'stiff back' is recovering well and we are doing our best for his early recovery.''

Sreeshanth, who had been in the injury list, was out of action since November 2007. He was undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA here.
