Can 'pink ball' conquer cricket hearts?
Pink ballLondon: For the first time in the history of cricket a ' pink cricket ball' was used to play an official match on Wednesday. Pink cricket ball made its memorable debut in the Hamspshire's match against Essex in Hampshire.

A section of cricket players are supporting pink ball because the white one ones used for the one-day matches are liable to become discoloured and its difficult for the players to seen in certain conditions. England and Wales Cricket Board are contemplating on expanding its use to other country matches.
Pink ball received mixed reactions from the players after it was introduced in the Hampshire match.

Paul Grayson, former coach of Essex said that pink ball have great future in the cricket.

Essex batsmen Napier opined that pink ball was difficult to follow when it was hit along the ground." When it got above head height it was better" Napier added.

"We are all open to all change and variation in the game" Napier told the Essex cricket website. "Using pink balls is certainly worth looking at for the shorter format of the cricket.
