London: It seems the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has no control over pacer Shoaib Akhtar who has again referred to ''gigantic ego people'' in the Board and said he was in no mood to prove himself to make it to the national side as over the years, the speedster claims, he has done enough for his country.

In an interview to Surrey TV, Shoaib said, ''Yeah, its been difficult, I can't do any thing about the gigantic egos that people have in cricket board.'' ''You do not bend yourself when you get in trouble, those egos I can't deal with it. So, Pakistan cricket suffers it was very difficult for me as well,'' he added.

Last month, the PCB had left out Shoaib from a training camp after he did not pay a fine imposed on him. The pacer, who was in the Champions Trophy squad, had been asked to pay a fine of seven million Pakistani rupees by July 14 in order to be considered for selection after his five-year ban was reduced to 18 months.

English cricket county Surrey's objective in signing Shoaib for their final two County Championship games is to avoid relegation to Division Two. The bowler, however, is to prove he still has an international future.

''But now, I want to be back in cricket, I want to play, go out and want to perform. I don't have to prove myself.

''I just want to bowl and take wickets, bowl some rapid fires and help Surrey out, that is what I really want,'' Akhtar insisted.

When asked about his concerns to rejoin Pakistan squad, Akhtar replied, ''I don't want to prove to play for Pakistan as I said.

''Yes it's nice to be back in Pakistani side. It has been 10 to 12 years proving myself that I am good enough to get in the side,'' Akhtar said adding ''But I am here and my first priority is Surrey and to be the part of this cultural county.''
