New Delhi: BCCI has reacted sharply to former captain and ICL chairman, Kapil Dev's anti-BCCI comments.
“He can speak any nonsense he wants…we are not concerned. We dont have any problems." BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said
Kapil had accused BCCI of not making payments to ICL players.
On the subject of dues to ICL players, Shah clarified that all the dues had been paid by the BCCI. "We have paid the dues. Little bit here and there may be left…we have even cleared the benevolent fund."
Earlier Kapil lashed out BCCI on many issues including the isolation of the ICL, which is threatening to divide the cricketing world. “I dont understand why the Cricket Board is treating cricketers who joined our ranks as untouchables. We were providing the youngsters an option to cricket and to life," he said.
"We are for the betterment of Indian cricket and I always think I am a part of the cricket board but why are they trying to monopolise the game. They should have been big hearted."
Without naming anybody, Kapil blamed a 'particular person' for being victimising ICL players.
