Wellington: Kiwis paceman Chris Martin will miss New Zealand's upcoming one-day series against Bangladesh after struggling to overcome a hamstring injury. Chris Martin will be replaced by Michael Mason in the Bangladesh Tour.

New Zealand general manager Lindsay Crocker said: "While he was able to fully contribute to their most recent four-day match, we have come to the conclusion his longer term interests are best served by him cutting short his obligations at Warwickshire.

"(He will be) returning home for full treatment and rehabilitation before hopefully being able to head to Bangladesh to take full part in the Test series."
Martin's place in the one-dayers will go to Michael Mason, who will join up with the squad directly from India where he currently playing with the 'A' team.

New Zealand are scheduled to play three one-day internationals in Bangladesh from Oct. 9-14 before the first of their two tests starts on Oct. 17.
