Kolkata: Bollywood super star and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan hailed Sourav Ganguly's selection to the Test squad and said he was happy for the former Indian captain.

Alleying the apprehension of Knight Riders' moving out of Kolkata, Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan reportedly told CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya that he had no such plan.

During a meeting with Mr Dalmiya, King Khan reportedly said Knight Riders, the team he was owning would continue to have the Eden Gardens as its homeground in the coming IPL tournament.

'' He told me that he was not leaving Kolkata, '' Mr Dalmiya said. He described the 30-minute meeting as a courtesy call by Shah Rukh.

Before meeting Mr Dalmiya, the actor also said, '' I am a Kolkatan from the day we bought Knight Riders. '' Stating that CAB was ready to extend all support to Shah Rukh, Mr Dalmiya said, '' If he comes one-and-half forward, we will go three-fourth.There will be full cooperation fro our side. '' Declining to divulge details of his talks with Shah Rukh, the CAB president said discussions were of general nature and not of any individual item.

After meeting Mr Dalmiya, King Khan said, '' I have been to CAB to say hello to Mr Dalmiya. I should have come earlier to greet him but my busy schedule prevented me from doing so. '' Mr Dalmiya had recently sent a letter to Shah Rukh Khan's company that the CAB was yet to get the details of Rs 7.26 crore spent during the last IPL matches in Eden Gardens.

This gave rise to the rumour that Knight Riders would move out to other state.
