Bangalore: Reuters suspended coverage of the series in India on Thursday because it objected to the terms set by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Reuters reported from Bangalore.

One condition of accreditation was a bar on distributing photographs to cricket Web site portals, which Reuters said is unacceptable.

Reuters also said it would not be able to cover future games in Australia unless a number of accreditation terms from Cricket Australia, including the resale of photographs and a limit on the number of report updates during a game, are dropped.

International news agencies suspended coverage of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament earlier this year over terms and conditions.

There were similar clashes over coverage rights in the build-up to last year's rugby World Cup and with the Australian cricket board during Sri Lanka's cricket tour.
