''If the PCB invites us we are ready to visit Pakistan any time and we are ready to host any Pakistan team next summer,'' he said here yesterday.
He said they want to have reciprocal ties with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on a long-term basis to help establish the game in Canada on solid lines.
''Pakistan is one of the top cricket countries in the world and we can learn a lot from them by playing them on home and away basis,'' he said, adding ''We are ready to play them at any level of the game, even with their A or junior team.'' He believes that Pakistan is as safe as any other country of the world as violence and unrest is taking place every where and sports events are going on in spite of such adverse situations.
''We believe that Pakistan cricket has suffered a lot owing to security concerns and it is sad that Pakistan has been deprived of staging the Champions Trophy and the International Cricket Council (ICC) should find a way to help Pakistan to come out of this crisis,'' he said.
Ahuja said frequent bilateral visits of teams between the two countries, exchanges of coaches and technical assistance from PCB can help CC to further improve in the game.
He said Canada offers perfect playing conditions and weather in summer for holding international ties and from June till September it can host any international event as cricket in the entire world is not being played in the sizzling summer.
He proposed that Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka should put in collective efforts to build a stadium in Toronto to have their international ties in summer.
''This idea has been greatly appreciated by all the three countries and if implemented it can also be helpful in turning the fortunes of Canadian cricket.''
