Mohali, Oct 17: Sachin Tendulkar, at last became the Highest Scorer in World Cricket bypassing Lara's record of 11,953 runs. He scored the 3 runs after lunch, which brought him to total of 11,954, in the ongoing Australia tour to India on Friday, Oct 17.
Tendulkar played 152 Test matches and batted in 247 innings for his 11,954 runs. While Lara took 131 Test matches (232 innings) to score 11,953 runs. These included the world-record 400 not out against England- the highest individual score by any batsman in the world. Tendulkar already holds the world record of most Test centuries with 39 tons under his belt. He has also 42 One-Day Internationals centuries for a total of 81 international hundreds, which again is a world record.
He also hold the record scoring maximum ODIs runs and is the only batsman to have accumulated more than 15,000 runs in the 50-over format.
