Mohali: Indian flag was seen fluttering upside down when the second Test match between India and Australia began at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium here on Friday.

The flag was hung upside down on top of the north pavilion block of the magnificent PCA stadium. While the green strip of the tricolour was on top, the saffron was at the bottom.

After the mistake was pointed out, PCA officials hastily asked the curator-Daljeet Singh, to remove the flag. After 30 minutes, it was raised again, this time properly.

Earlier this year, in Karachi during the Asia Cup, the tricolour was seen fluttering upside down, leading to a major furor.
