Dhaka: Bangladesh recalled Roqibul Hassan to their 15-man squad for next month's tour of South Africa after the middle-order batsman missed the ongoing home series against New Zealand due to injury.

The 21-year-old sustained a thumb injury during Bangladesh's 3-0 away defeat in the recent one-day international series against Australia but has since regained full fitness.

The Bangladesh team, which will be captained by Mohammad Ashraful, leaves for South Africa on Saturday. Their programme includes a Twenty20 international, five one-day matches and two Tests.

The selectors have named the squad for the one-day series only and said there will be changes for the Tests.

Squad: Mohammad Ashraful (capt), Mashrafe Mortaza (vice-captain), Zunaed Siddique, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Shahadat Hossain, Syed Rasel, Nazmul Hossain, Mahbubul Alam, Roqibul Hassan, Imrul Kayes, Mehrab Hossain
