Rajasthan Royals' player held for robbery

Jaipur: Sumit Khatri, who played for  Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), was on Sunday arrested in Jaipur for assaulting a van driver and robbing him of Rs 15,000.

According to a report in Times of India, Khatri and three others allegedly beat the van driver Sohan Singh Rajpoot and two others and robbed the money after their car collided with the van last night.

The police have arrested Sumit, while the three others who accompanied him, were absconding.
