Chasing a victory target of 166 runs in the stipulated 20 overs set by the Pakistan ICL, India ICL began its quest on a dismal note by loosing 2nd-opener G Vignesh with individual score of just one run while team"s total was just 13.
However, then incoming batsman Ravudu and opener I Kahleel had held the forte to score 67 runs for the second wicket to set their team on the victory path. At the total of 80 runs, Khaleel made an exit with his personal contribution of 36 runs, made in just 27 balls with help of one six and four boundaries. While, Ravudu contributed 65 runs in just 47 balls studded with as many as eight boundaries and one six.
After loosing Khaleel, India lost two more wickets -- STR Binny (8) and R Sathish (3) -- cheaply to give bubbly feelings to home crowd in their stomach. However, Hemant Badani held one-end with his unbeaten knock of 32 runs (2x4, 2x6) to steer his side to victory with just five balls to spare.
Zulu powers ICL World XI to win
Earlier batting first, after loosing the toss, Pakistan too began their outing on a disappointment as hard hitter and 2nd opener Imran Farhat returned to pavilion without scoring when team was just having 4 runs on the board.
This early jolt kept Pakistan batsmen under double pressure of scoring rapidly and not loosing wickets, but, every pair was separating when they were appearing settled for a big partnership by getting out at the regular intervals.
Only No.3 batsman Naved-ul-Hasan gave good fight-back with his personal contribution of 44 runs made in 31 balls (6x4, 1x6) to give his side to a defendable total of 165 runs in 20 overs.
