Mohali, Dec 23: Chasing 403 runs, England were 31/1 at tea on Day 5 of the second Test against India in Mohali.

Ishant Sharma provided the early breakthroug for India when he dismissed Cook. Coming from round the wicket, Ishant got the ball to shape away and that was enough to take an edge off Cook's bat and give VVS Laxman a simple catch at second slip.

Although the Test is headed for draw, Cook"s wicket gave India a reason to celebrate a rather dull Test match.

Prior to that, India had declared their innings at 251/7, thereby setting England a target of 403 runs after Gautam Gambhir was heartbroken at 97 runs as Ian Bell caught a stunner to send him back.G ambhir hit 6 fours in his knock and his dismissal came after India lost Yuvraj Singh (86) and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for a duck in quick succession to be reduced to 241/6.
