Colombo : India pulled off a thrilling three-wicket win against Sri Lanka in the one-off Twenty20 match here on Tuesday night.
Chasing Sri Lanka's 172, India reached the target with four balls to spare and three wickets in hand with Pathan brothers Yousuf (22 not out) and Irfan (33 not out) turning the odds in their favour after India were seven down for 115.
Pathans put on 59 runs off only 25 deliveries in an unbroken stand for the eighth wicket as world champions India eclipsed the target with four deliveries to spare.
Irfan, who brought up victory with a six, hit 33 from 16 balls, while Yusuf made 22 from 10.
Captain Tillakaratne Dilshan's 61 off 47 deliveries had helped Sri Lanka to 171 for four batting first.
