Ganguly begs to differ with Sachin

Kolkata: Sachin Tendulkar believes the strongest-ever batting unit is the current one under MS Dhoni. But India's former captain and his long time associate Sourav Ganguly disagrees with him and says that the current team is not the best one.

Ganguly, who was one of the most successful captains of India, said the cricket team is fantastic but not best ever.

"They are a great side. Yes of course. (But) It's difficult to say best one-day side. We can't say all that. Of course they are a fantastic side."

Ganguly praised the team's consistent good showing.

"Most important thing you should that Indian cricket is being consistent. They have maintained the standard which is a good sign," he told reporters here.

Tendulkar, after hitting his 43rd century to power India to mammoth 392 for four in the third ODI against New Zealand had said the current batting line-up, of which he is a part, is the all-time best.
