New Delhi: The cricket board on Monday hailed the Indian team's series victory over New Zealand as a 'historic moment' and immediately announced a Rs 15 lakh bonus for each member in Dhoni's team.
India clinched the three-match Test series 1-0 after the final Test ended in a draw in Wellington today. Mahendra Singh Dhonis team won the first Test in Hamilton by 10 wickets and the second in Napier ended in a draw.
Mr. Shashank Manohar, President of the BCCI, has extended his congratulations to the Indian cricket team, for its outstanding display in New Zealand, the BCCI said in a statement.
"The Board President has announced a bonus of Rs 15 lakh to every player who participated in the Test and one-day series. The support staff will receive a bonus of Rs 10 lakh each," it said.
