Raj is back, this time targets IPL

Pune: Raj Thackeray-chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena is back in the headlines with his venomous speeches. In an election rally Raj Thackeray has targeted IPL and Sharad Pawar.

At a rally organized for MNS candidate, Ranjit Shirole, in Pune, Raj spoke in his characteristic style.

"They are conducting the IPL matches during elections. Are the Indian players not voters? They have taken away the players' voting right and expect others in the country to vote," he said.

“Day and night you shout your lungs out asking every single citizen to cast his or her vote, then why did you sent the cricketers packing to South Africa? Just to earn money?" Thackeray asked.

Raj also said that it was a mystery why Sharad Pawar had put his weight behind a 'nondescript" person like Lalit Modi.
