Durban: Intermittent rain forced the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and defending champions Rajasthan Royals to be called off without a single bowl being bowled at Kingsmead here on Tuesday.
The rain had earlier marred the first game of the day between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab in which the former was awarded an 11-run win under Duckworth-Lewis method.
However, there was no result for the second match as the rain did not allow the players to take field at all.
Both the teams were awarded a point each and with it Mumbai Indians have moved at the top of the table with three points from two matches.
The forecasts for tomorrow however, suggest clear sky and the only match between Deccan CHargers and Bagalore Royal Challengers is expected to be played without any rain interruption.
