Durban: Brilliant bowling performances by Abdullah and Irfan Pathan restricted Bangalore Royal Challengers to 168/9 for against Kings XI Punjanb at Durban on Friday.

Yusuf Abdulla took 4 wickets and Irfan Pathan took 3, as Bangalore kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Jacques kallis top scored for Bangalore with a 46-ball 62 that was studded with 2 sixes and 5 fours, while Ross Taylor hit 2 sixes and 4 fours in his 35-run knock that came off 22 balls.

Soon after Kallis" dismissal, Virat Kohli (2) too bid farewell to the game after being caught by Ravinder Bopara at the mid-wicket off a VRV Singh delivery.

After losing Robin Uthappa very early in the game, Jesse Ryder thought of taking Bangalore Royal Challengers" score to a respectable high.

Ryder hit some magnificent boundaries, amassing 32 runs for himself. However, his feat did not last long as he completely missed a short on the on side delivery by Yusuf Abdullah, and was bowled out.
