Rebellion in Kolkata camp

John Buchanan may have helped Australia to becoming the world champions, but his strategies are now demoralising prospects of Kolkata team in IPL.

The decision to send back Akash Chopra and Sanjay Bangar from Kolkata Knight Riders team has stirred up another controversy in the team's camp in South Africa.

This decision is viewed as another experiment from Coach Buchanan after removal of Sourav Ganguly from captaincy.

Buchanan had earlier supported Aakash Chopra and played him at the crucial position in the mid order. Kolkata Knight Riders new captain McCullum also backed Chopra and praised him for his performances in the practice matches that was held in South Africa.

The players in the team are not happy about the shabby treatment meted out to Aakash Chopra and Sanjay Bangar. The players are planning to lodge complaint to team owner Shah Rukh Khan against John Buchanan's style of functioning.

It is to be noted that no decision has worked out in favour of Buchanan in the IPL's second season.

New captain in Brendon McCullum has failed to inspire the team and could win only in one match in the four matches that they played in the IPL's second season.

It is believed that KKR sent the two players in an effort to check their budget. It is worth mentioning here that KKR is the only team that has a gamut of managers for almost every task, most of them being close to Coach Buchanan.
