Jhulan Goswami was selected as the captain of the Indian women's team for the International Cricket Council's Twenty20 World Cup in England.
The decision was taken at the selection committee meeting which was held in Cricket Centre.
The Women's T20 World Cup will begin alongside the men's competition commencing June 5.
