Johannesburg: Kamran Khan, Rajasthan Royals young pacer has been reported for a suspected bowling action by the match officials.
The report was made by umpires Rudi Koertzen and Graham Baxter after the Royals' Indian Premier League match against the Chennai Super Kings at Centurion on Thursday.
Match referee Ranjan Madugalle has informed both the ICC and the South Africa team management of the report, as per the ICC regulations.
In a statement, the IPL said footage of Khan taken during Thursday's match was studied by the umpires and would be referred to the IPL's technical committee.
IPL commissioner Lalit Modi said he was awaiting a report from the committee before deciding on further action.
Left-arm seamer Kamran Khan got instant fame and success after he guided his team to victory in an edge-of-the-seat thriller against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
Kamran, son of a poor woodcutter from UP, has surprised may batsmen with the pace generated from a whippy, slingy action since being drafted into Rajasthan Royals.
