No plans to dumb Buchanan: KKR

Mumbai: Kolkata Knight Riders have dismissed the reports of sacking of their coach John Buchanan in the wake of team's dismal performances in the ongoing IPL.

A section of media on Wednesday reported that John Buchanan may be sacked after the KKR's dismal performance in the ongoing IPL.

"Kolkata Knight Riders team management, owners and players remain resolute in their commitment to the Kolkata Knight Riders and are working hard as a team to overcome challenges they presently face," a press release from the franchise said on Wednesday.

Kolkata could only win one match out of their nine games played in the IPL's second season.

"The recent slump in form is temporary and is experienced by all professionals at times," the release added. "The individuals involved are aware of this and are committed to persevering, because Kolkata Knight Riders is a great team and will continue to be that despite recent disappointing results." the report adds.
