Centurion: Chennai Super Kings captain Dhoni was unhappy with his team's fielding performance despite their victory over Kings XI Punjab on Thursday.
Chennai Super Kings beat Kings XI Punjab by 12 runs at the Centurion on Thursday. But the margin of victory didn't reflect the team's miserable fielding because the butter fingered Super Kings' fielders dropped as many as four easy catches and made a mockery of a run out opportunity.
Dhoni warned his side they must improve their fielding if they are to have any chance of lifting this year's IPL title.

"We have played eight games and every game we are dropping a few. You need to be a little strict. It's a very basic thing and as it is said when it comes to coaching, catches win matches. Happily, it did not really have a big impact on this game."
"But if you see, we dropped Sachin in the very first game, we dropped AB de Villiers. That has really proved vital in the scenario. So right now it's okay we are in the league stage, but if we are in the semi-finals and if you drop a catch off a well-set batsman, you don't really have anything to blame."
