Modi denies math-fixing allengation

Durban: IPL boss Lalit Modi dismissed rumours that Tuesday's match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders was fixed.

"No problem till now. There are absolutely no issues. We are absolutely following strict guidelines," Modi said.

Kolkata Knight Riders went into the match without their top-run getter Australian Brad Hodge for the match against Royal Challengers. But Hodge, instead of sitting in the dressing room, was found in the hospitality box during the match.

Modi, however, did not see anything wrong with that.

"I am happy that Brad (Hodge) went and sat along with his family in the box," he told a news channel.

In that tie, Knight Riders skipper Brendon McCullum led from the front to guide the side to their tournament-best score of 172 which they could not defend as their opponents from Bangalore went on to win it by six wickets.
