Record viewership for India-Bangla match

Mumbai: India-Bangladesh match on Saturday turned out to be most watched one in STAR Cricket in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2009. The reports indicates that over 13 million viewers watched the match on Saturday night. This rating is even bigger than the average ratings of the top three matches in the recently concluded IPL at South Africa.

Incidentally, India-Bangladesh game was the second most watched match among all 30 matches played in ICC T20 World Cups so far. The most watched match among in the T20 world cups is the India-Pakistan final played in South Africa in 2007. The Indo-Pak final generated a viewership of over 14.4 million.

All-mighty India off to a winning start

The first T20 world cup was held in South Africa in which India emerged as the champions.

The data was released by the overnight television ratings agency Audience Measurement and Analytics Ltd.
