Jayasuriya & Dilshan propel Lanka to 192/5

Trent Bridge: Spectacular half centuries from Sanath and Dilshan helped the Sri Lankans to make 192/5 at Trent Bridge on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka's score of 192/5 is the second highest total of this World Twenty20 so far. The highest so far is South Africa's 211 against Scotland.

Jayasuriya played brilliant innings of of 81 off just 47 balls to give Sri Lanka a great platform to go for the final assault. His majestic innings consisted of 10 fours and 3 sixes. Lendl Simmons, who is playing this match for injured Gayle, had Jayasuriya, plumb him in front of the wicket

Jayasuriya, who failed in the last match against Australia, slammed fifty off just 29 balls. This is Jayasuriya"s fourth fifty in T20 Internationals.

Jayasuriya and Dilshan gave a brilliant start to Sri Lanka as they scored 124 runs in first 12 overs.

Dishan, who was playing a second fiddle until Jayasuriya was there, broke free after his senior partner got out. He hit flurry of boundaries during his stay at the crease. His 47-ball 74 consisted of 11 fours and a six.

West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl against Sri Lanka in an inconsequential league match here on Wednesday.
