Yuvraj steers India to 153/7

London: A mercurial knock of 67 off 43 from Indian captain Yuvraj Singh helped India to post 153/7 at Lords on Friday. His brilliant knock was studded with six fours and two sixes.

India were struggling at 66/5 losing losing Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir and captain MS Dhoni early.

But a spectacular counter attack by Indian vice captain Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pahan helped India to post a respectable total on the board. Yuvraj scored his half century in 26 balls.

Yusuf Pathan scored 31 runs in just 23 balls which consisted of 3 boundaries and a sixer.

But both the batsmen got out little early as they could not go for the final assault and had to settle for 153/5, less then at least 20 runs they had hoped for when they decided to bat first. But it was for a small cameo of 12 by Harbhajan Singh, who smashed three fours of the last three balls he faced, India could cross 150-run mark.
